I've been sick, the girls have been sick, Curt's been sick.
I worked out a few times, thought I was going to die when I couldn't breathe afterwards,
ran a fever.
The car broke down. Sort of. It was a little thing, but it was a dramatic day. Curt was stuck on campus an hour away, I had the kids, the car wouldn't start, my dad had to drive out to get him after work.
Q's birthday was this month, too. (Just a few days after the last post.)
Poor kid was vomiting and wretched on her birthday.
We made it up to her, we did the whole hullaballoo the next weekend.
It doesn't make it not a lousy way to do your birthday, though.

She seems no worse for wear, but oh, the parents' guilt.
I'm trying to get back on track for working out heading into next week. We had a lot going on, but now that I'm slowly starting to feel enough better again, I think it's time to get back on the ball.
I got new shoes, new hot pink running shoes, and they feel wonderful when I did work out wearing them.
I've also been trying to get back on the ball with the crafting stuff a little. Getting my supplies organized, getting a little bit done on a project every day, getting little projects (itty bitty miniscule projects) done as I find them. Like Caleigh's pencil jar. A little washi tape to make it a little less of a recycled gravy jar. Not a big project. Not even sure if it's a miniscule project, but it helps. It makes me feel a little bit less like I've done nothing.Small steps. Really small steps.
Organizing a desk. Getting the mobile done for the girls' room...that I meant to have done ages ago.
Found the stuff to do it, now for the doing. Got the hoop wrapped with yarn, got almost all of the zillion paper butterflies punched out. Getting really close to finishing it up, but it just has been a slow starter.
Gotta find some flannel for the backing of a scarf that I whipped up for Q out of Honey Honey by Kate Spain for Moda.
I'm doing one for myself from Cuzco.
They're pretty simple little scarves. A pretty way to show off a bunch of small pieces of fabric at once, really enjoy using it and wearing it around. A snuggly flannel side, a quilters cotton side. Lots of prettiness.
I also told Q I'd make her a pillow with some remaining squares and a quarter mom got to match.
They're awfully sweet, regardless.
Better get back to it, I have a little bit of time while Q plays in her room and Leeloo naps.
