I needed a desk for my sewing machine. Something small, something sturdy, and something with drawers. My mom is awesome and found such a beast for a mere $10 at the thrift store her first day looking. It's a little banged up aesthetically, but it's incredibly sound and well constructed. It is missing handles, though, That problem was solved, at least temporarily, by some ribbon tied through the drawer handle holes haha.
It will be a good desk for me. It was heavy to carry, though.
After her visit, I went to the clubhouse and did Day 2. Picked up the pace a little. Got through it pretty easily, though I was certainly sweating afterwards. Overall burned 170 calories and did 1.7 miles this go-round. Not bad. I didn't want to go. I was sore and tired. I think everyone in the apartment may be coming down with something, but if that's the case, it's a slow lethargic energy drain, not a dramatic illness. I've been crashing hard at about 10 or 11 every night, and I'm talking CRASHING. Poke me repeatedly, shake me, call my name, ask me questions and get nothing but gibberish mumbled into a couch pillow where I landed crashing.
I'm still glad I went. I'm glad that I've managed to keep it up a whole consistent 2 workouts in a row.
Woot!
Okay, not that exciting. Maybe only woot! Get it? Cuz it's only a little exciting?
I don't want to cook today, but that's okay. We have leftovers galore. We have chili, falafel, firecracker-ish chicken, pita bread, we have food.
Now to go take something for this headache everyone seems to have, have a drink and maybe lay back down for a little while again.
